Holly L. Bosler, ASID
Owner/Principal Designer
Holly L. Bosler obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from the University of Colorado Boulder. After completing her degree, Holly returned to Dallas, Texas to start her design career. Holly began working at a firm specializing in multifamily housing, while simultaneously obtaining her professional level certificate in interior design from a FIDER accredited program. Holly founded HBC Design Group in 2007 and currently has offices in Colorado and Texas. Her experience includes over 10 years of commercial interior design work. Under Holly’s direction, HBC has grown greatly, taking on projects for national developers, and has designed projects across the country. Holly has worked on projects ranging from corporate office headquarters, to private luxury mountain homes, and both low and high rise multifamily buildings. She has worked diligently to gather the most talented design staff to create a team that is on the cutting edge of design
Holly is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers, and her company, HBC, is a member of the US Green Building Council. In her spare time, Holly loves spending time with her two favorites: her son, Sully and her goldendoodle, Dallas.
Katy Byrne, ASID
Vice President of Design
Katy is a registered Interior Designer with 20+ years’ experience in commercial design. She received her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Harding University’s program in Searcy, Arkansas and went straight to Dallas to work for a prominent commercial firm. After 5 years in Dallas, Katy made the move to Denver, Colorado in 2010 where she currently serves as HBC’s Vice President of Design. She has designed and overseen projects in Dallas, Austin, Houston, Denver, Atlanta, Charlotte, Phoenix and the Washington DC markets. She is always ready for a challenge and thinks life is too short to play it safe with your interiors. When she’s not traveling she loves to volunteer with her church and spend time with her husband and daughter.
Jessica Goss
Design director
Jessica graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor’s degree in Interior design. After graduation she returned to Dallas to pursue her dreams of designing beautifully diverse spaces. Jessica has been with HBC Design Group since 2013, and with her passion for design she has been able to create a career she loves. As a Senior Designer, Jessica assists in all aspects of the design process from conception to installation. Aside from design, Jessica likes to experience all that Dallas has to offer as well as spending time with friends, family and her two puppies Kensington and Knox.
Erin Rurup
Purchaser
After a career in both residential and commercial design, Erin switched roles to focus on the procurement side when starting with HBC Design Group. She incorporates knowledge from her design background and applies it to the unique situations that come into play when purchasing large amounts of various product for design projects for smooth, turn-key installations. You might also find her on Colorado’s slopes snowboarding or in the midst of home improvement projects. She feels fortunate to have chosen and to work in a field that enables her to be involved in creating environments that enrich people’s lives and wellbeing.
Samantha Schoenborn
Junior Designer
Samantha is a recent college graduate from Colorado State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture and Design and a focus area in Design Thinking. After interning at HBC, Samantha came back post-graduation to start her design career. She is passionate about expanding her knowledge in the design industry and using her skills and work ethic to support her. In her spare time, Samantha is golfing, traveling or spending time with family and friends.
Kaya Mallett
Junior Designer
Kaya earned her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the University of Alabama in 2023. After graduation, she began her design career at a residential firm in South Carolina, where she developed a strong foundation in client-driven design and space planning. In pursuit of big-city life and broader design opportunities, Kaya relocated to Dallas and joined HBC Design Group in October 2024. As a Junior Designer, she supports the team across all phases of the design process, contributing a keen eye for detail and a fresh perspective. Outside of work, Kaya enjoys pilates, live music, exploring new restaurants, and taking long walks with her golden doodle, Tate.
Emily Goodwin
Design Assistant
Emily recently graduated from the University of Alabama, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, complemented by a minor in General Business. During her studies, she completed an internship with HBC Design Group, gaining hands on experience in multifamily and commercial interiors. After graduation, Emily joined the firm as a full time team member. As a committed member of ASID and IIDA, Emily continually enhances her knowledge of design trends, sustainability, and best practices. She thrives in collaborative environments and approaches each project with both creative vision and strategic business insight. Outside of work, Emily enjoys traveling, cheering on her favorite football teams, and spending quality time with family, friends, and her French bulldog, Sarge
